Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or commensurate relevant experience preferred.
  • Entry level position.
  • Previous experience in the engineering/construction or services industry preferred.
  • Any experience in accounting/finance a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work under moderate supervision.
  • Receive direction on moderately complex assignments, tasks, and execution.
  • Review work produced by junior staff for quality assurance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Assist and work with the Project Accountant/Administrative staff to ensure accurate project setup into vision.
  • Enter new client data including billing addresses, invoice recipients, phones, faxes, e-mail addresses and various Bowman custom fields.
  • Enter new contracts and change orders including profit centers, project leads, project managers, tasks, lots, compensation and various Bowman custom fields.
  • Define project billing terms for hourly, unit, lump sum and reimbursable tasks.
  • Create specialized billing labor rate tables as required for specialized agreements.
  • Maintain projects to coincide with frequent changes in profit centers, leads, team leaders and project managers.
  • Handle project and task status changes.
  • Evaluate and update old data for Bowman custom fields as directed.
  • Manage, sort and file all contract related documents to a centralized filing system.
  • Document data entry how to manuals for expansion/training.
