Requirements

  • A Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or college in one of the above or related fields.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in one or more of the following or related fields: Cost analytics, finance, program management, project management, accounting, or operations.
  • Experience working with cost tracking analysis, forecasting, budgets, and accounting principles is a must.
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with stakeholders positively and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrate a high level of skill in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze budget and forecast variances.
  • Assist with preparing forecasts by analyzing project spending, accruals, purchase orders and cashflows.
  • Support project meetings and work with team members on project activities.
  • Support Project Managers with the preparation of financial documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to implement project management best practices throughout the project lifecycle related to cashflow, estimating, forecasting and all aspects of costs associated with projects.
  • Assist with providing input to annual budget and five-year plans.
  • Assist with the processing of financial transfer and adjustment documentation.
  • Support Project Managers with the monthly accrual process, including submittal of required accrual information to the NY Electric Business and other stakeholder groups.
