The role partners closely with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, and Construction to ensure accurate tracking of project costs, variances, and cash flow.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • EXPERIENCE: 3–7 years of accounting or finance experience, with direct exposure to capital projects, construction accounting, or project cost control preferred
  • TRAVEL: 10%
  • OTHER:
  • Strong Excel skills for cost modeling, variance analysis, and forecasting
  • Experience partnering with engineering or project teams.
  • ERP systems experience
  • Submit to and satisfactorily complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Track, analyze, and report capital project costs related to bromine plant construction, including:
  • Project engineering costs and variances
  • Construction labor and materials costs and variances
  • Equipment purchase, freight, and installation cost variances
  • Maintain detailed project cost tracking by phase, work package, and cost category.
  • Monitor and report budget vs. actuals, highlighting cost drivers, risks, and forecast impacts.
  • Support cash flow forecasting, including forecast vs. actual spend and timing variances.
  • Partner with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, and Construction teams to ensure accurate cost capture and alignment with project execution plans.
  • Assist in defining and maintaining capital cost controls, cost codes, and reporting structures.
  • Support capitalization decisions, ensuring project costs are classified appropriately in accordance with accounting standards and company policy.
  • Support month‑end close for capital projects, including project accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare project cost reports and dashboards for leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Support audits related to capital expenditures and project accounting.
