The Project Coordinator at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health will manage and coordinate various multidisciplinary student programs under the Emory Global Health Institute (EGHI). This role involves strategic planning, budget management, logistical coordination for events, and representation of the project at various engagements. The coordinator will also support the Student Advisory Committee and advise students on global health opportunities, ensuring alignment with EGHI's mission to empower communities and achieve health for all.

  • Manages a project.
  • Coordinates the strategic planning process and monitors progress toward achieving project goals.
  • Assists in developing, administering and monitoring project related budgets.
  • Coordinates logistical arrangements for related conferences, conventions or meetings.
  • May assist in identifying funding resources and in developing funding strategies and initiatives.
  • Develops and generates various operational and statistical reports.
  • Represents and promotes the project at various speaking engagements.
  • May write grants, reports, briefings, newsletters, promotional or other written material related to the project.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.
  • Responsible for coordinating all EGHI's student programs from planning to execution to delivery with strong performance measurements aligned with EGHI's strategic priority areas.
  • Coordinate student projects to enhance diversity and inclusion and that address health equity.
  • Plan, coordinate, manage internal and external events, and support broader EGHI-wide meetings.
  • Serve as Staff Coordinator to EGHI's multidisciplinary Student Advisory Committee and advise individual students regarding global health educational and professional opportunities.
  • Responsible for the execution/coordination of project evaluation activities including developing data collection tools, analyzing and reporting on projects' performance.
  • Collaborate with EGHI's Director of Projects, Student Programs, and Program Director to develop and implement EGHI's Academic Program portfolio.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related project management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
  • Three (3) years' program management experience in global health or related field.
  • Preferred Master's degree in Public Health.
  • Experience working in higher education and students.
  • Experience in Global Health.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Experience in event planning and management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to establish, operationalize, maintain, track, and evaluate programs and/or project processes on a continuous basis.
  • Knowledge of and experience using software applications for program management and virtual meetings (Microsoft Teams, Zoom); Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Project Management tools (Smartsheet, Monday).
  • Ability to work collaboratively within EGHI, across Emory University (faculty and students), and among external partner organizations to cultivate partnerships.
  • Ability to encourage cooperation from team and colleagues in order to meet deadlines and objectives, and produce highest quality deliverables on behalf of the EGHI.
