About The Position

Responsible for obtaining information and layout production schedules for all work that is in the job queue. Planner will coordinate with Plant Superintendent and General Manager to develop an accurate timeline for all projects. Planner will work with Purchasing Agent to follow up with parts needed and delivery schedules. Planner will coordinate all inter-company meetings for Cross-functional discussions for all components that need added to the production schedule. Planner will document pictures for all incoming and outgoing jobs. Planner will also work with Engineering to develop item numbers for stocked parts. Job Summary Location: Mount Morris, PA

Requirements

  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Must have minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing/operations.
  • Must have prior experience with operating systems (QAD, SAP, etc.).
  • Must have prior experience developing Gantt charts.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequent walking and/or standing is required.
  • Frequent bending, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying of parts.
  • Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Gantt Charts for all large projects to develop project schedules.
  • Document all incoming parts and outgoing jobs and put all information in job files.
  • Schedule and plan all intercompany and internal meetings for large capital projects.
  • Work with Plant Supervisors and General Manager to ensure projects are staying on task.
  • Assist with tracking jobs (parts and components) on the shop floor, and other intercompany locations that pertain to the job at hand.
  • Develop weekly internal meetings to ensure jobs stay on track.
  • Work with Product Managers to develop scope of work.
  • Work with Engineering to ensure the correct parts are being ordered and produced.
  • Work with Warehouse manager to ensure all products are being received properly.
  • Work with Engineering to assist with developing items numbers for stocked parts.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, meetings, workshops, etc.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
