A Day in the Life A Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing employee training and development programs to enhance skills, performance, and productivity. This role collaborates with department leaders to assess training needs, coordinate learning initiatives, manage training schedules, and track program effectiveness. The Training Coordinator ensures that learning materials, resources, and logistics are aligned with organizational goals while supporting continuous employee development and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Provides project or program support to a functional group or business process. Monitors program/project/system status, budgets and timetables. Applies knowledge of and experience in company operations to assist in the development, implementation and administration of program/system guidelines and procedures. Gathers and compiles information for reports. Provides technical support, which may include program/system training, program/system documentation, data extraction, data review, tracking and coding. DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS Autonomy: Seasoned individual contributor who is recognized as a specialist in job area who works on assignments that are somewhat complex in nature, and may be responsible for supporting training activities, communicating with faculty and students on class logistics. Handles and resolves a wide range of tasks, or issues in original ways. Has high degree of initiative and makes considerable adjustments and enhancements to working methods to improve effectiveness. Productive individual contributor. Works under moderate supervision; with general supervision and instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions for new activities. Knowledge of the training process, needs and established operational procedures utilized currently. Works on clerical assignments within the LMS, U-Ship system, Ariba purchasing systems that may require application of prior experience. Organizational Impact: Works to deliver day-to-day objectives with significant impact on achievement of results for the job area Work involves obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation. Work consists of tasks that are typically not routine. Innovation and Complexity: Makes minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area . Expected to independently propose solutions to problems for manager review. Communication and Influence: Communicates typically with internal and external contacts . Obtains and provides information on matters of moderate importance to the job area. Leadership and Talent Management: Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.

Requirements

  • Requires broad practical knowledge of operational systems and practices typically gained through extensive experience and/or education.
  • Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience .
