General Summary: The Project Engineer provides entry-level project support under close supervision. This role assists in tracking project documentation, material coordination, labor data collection, and schedule support functions. Work is performed under direct guidance from the Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager, or senior project staff. The Project Engineer does not exercise independent judgment on cost, schedule decisions, vendor coordination, or external communication. Responsibilities are primarily administrative and data-driven in nature and are reviewed regularly for accuracy and completeness. The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction).
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead.
  • Able to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Tolerant to prolonged sitting.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Able to work 40 hours per week plus overtime as required, to include night shifts and out-of-town work if required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining organized project files and documentation.
  • Enter and update project data including labor productivity tracking as directed.
  • Support tracking of General Contractor and internal schedules under supervision.
  • Assist with preparation and tracking of RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Maintain progress drawings as directed.
  • Take meeting notes and assist in distribution of documentation.
  • Support document control processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with project closeout documentation as assigned.
  • Assist with tracking material deliveries and inventory records.
  • Support staging documentation and Bill of Materials tracking.
  • Maintain updated material logs under direction.
  • Assist with equipment tracking and documentation.
  • Coordinate documentation for equipment orders as directed by project leadership.
  • Assist with timekeeping support functions.
  • Attend job site meetings, as assigned.
  • Support task order breakout and quantity counts under supervision.
  • Provide administrative support to field personnel as directed.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously as assigned.
  • All external communication with General Contractors, vendors, and clients must be directed through the Project Manager.
  • Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook.
  • Read and interpret instructional manuals and written instructions.
