The construction project coordinator will work closely with the manager of capital development and project managers to provide technical and limited administrative support to the project team. Create schematic designs, working drawings and specifications using AutoCAD Manage limited scope projects through the lifecycle including, scheduling, budgeting and cost management, and quality management. Assist in the planning and selection of furniture and finishes, ensuring alignment with standards, design specifications, and project timelines. Coordinate various tasks involved in the implementation of a project, like organizing, recorded keeping and creating presentation items for meetings. Assist all aspects of the project lifecycle of multiple construction initiatives aimed to expand, remodel, or retrofit existing campuses and regional learning centers.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in related field.
  • Minimum 1 year directly related experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on Excel and Project, Adobe, AutoCAD/Revit.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s standard insurance policy term.
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Collaborate with project managers to provide support to the project team throughout any stage. Provide administrative support to the facilities team as necessary, requisition supplies and materials as needed.
  • Limited Scope Projects: Manage limited scope projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordination: Organize various tasks involved in project implementation, such as taking inventory, record keeping, and creating presentation items for various meetings.
  • Drawings and Specifications: Assist construction project managers with schematic design sketches, working drawings, and specifications.
  • Scope Determination: Complete scope determination, drawings, and budgets for limited scope projects as a part of the capital budget process, while assisting project managers in this process.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with end users during initial planning stages of potential upcoming projects to develop and present multiple drawings and layout options.
  • Interpretation: Interpret and explain plans and scope to stakeholders in both early stages and execution stages of a project.
  • Finish Planning: Advance early stages of planning for finishes to the next level to provide to an architect during design development.
  • Furniture Management: Oversee and assist in the planning, selection, and ordering of new furniture and finishes for projects, ensuring alignment with standards, design specifications, and project timelines.
  • Design Development: Conduct field verifications of site measurements to transform schematic designs into detailed drawings.
  • Inventory: Assist in maintaining condition reports by updating building and material inventory of the campus. Maintain the accuracy of campus plans and evacuation maps by following up with any building modifications after construction.
