Essential Duties: This position will advise the Project Manager and/or Project Director for large line-item projects.

Responsibilities

Work with the project controls lead and control account managers (CAMs) to develop and maintain: Project Work Breakdown Structure and dictionary;
Summary and detailed, logic driven, resource loaded schedules;
Summary and detailed cost estimates;
Actual costs and accrual integration;
Risk identification and risk analysis; and
Change control.
Provide day-to-day support to the project with schedule and cost maintenance and status, forecasting and conducting what-if analysis.
Assist in generating monthly reports on project status and performance, to include analysis on schedule performance index (SPI)/cost performance index (CPI), variance explanation and critical path and near critical paths.
Attend technical and management meetings to understand and report status accurately.
Perform ad-hoc activities as directed by the project controls lead.
Support the CAMs and project management staff in preparing for various project reviews, including internal and external project status reviews.
Develop, present, and reinforce project management processes and systems training for all applicable project staff, specifically the project CAMs.
