This position is responsible for the growth and leadership of the Virginia Construction Management Project Controls group, supporting internal and external clients. The role will also expand and assume ownership of roles and responsibilities associated with the statewide maintenance contract, with emphasis on the focus areas outlined below. Project Controls: Collaborate with Section Heads across the three Virginia offices to formalize the Project Controls group. Develop and execute a staffing plan for the group Develop and implement a training and mentoring plan for junior staff Define and prioritize core service offerings (e.g., scheduling, constructability reviews, estimating, contract development). Maintain delivery of current services, including locality scheduling, CTDR, and estimating Prioritize support to internal clients, with planned expansion of services to external clients Statewide Maintenance: Assess and document client needs and expectations Become proficient in the statewide maintenance contract, including its application across assigned task types Identify and pursue asset management opportunities, including collaboration with the IT department as appropriate Coordinate with VDOT ASD to evaluate opportunities to incorporate additional disciplines in contract execution
