We are looking for a Project Controls Engineering Intern. This position will be based at our Sacramento area branch located in California. During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Enterprise Scheduling department where you will learn how schedule management plays a crucial role in project operations and management. You will engage with the team in managing complex project schedules that integrate the engineering, procurement, and manufacturing aspects of our Rolling Stock portfolio, including light rail vehicles, electric locomotives, diesel-electric locomotives, and passenger coaches. Your contributions will help ensure that project timelines are efficiently controlled and aligned across advanced Rail Vehicle Projects.

Requirements

  • Current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university majoring in Engineering
  • Strong technical or analytical aptitude
  • Availability: 40 hours per week from June to August
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
  • Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred) with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Demonstrated leadership potential
  • Strong analytical, writing, presentation, and critical-thinking skills
  • Industry knowledge and/or interest
