Bechtel Parsons Blue Grass is the systems contractor selected by the Department of Defense’s Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives program to design, build, systemize, test, operate, and close a facility to destroy the chemical weapons stockpile at the Blue Grass Army Depot in Richmond, Kentucky. The Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) will safely destroy 523 tons of mustard and nerve agent in projectiles and rockets. Neutralization followed by supercritical water oxidation is the technology selected by the Department of Defense to destroy the nerve agent, while the Explosive Destruction Technology will be used to destroy the mustard in the Blue Grass chemical weapons stockpile. Candidates for unescorted access to the Chemical Limited Area must successfully clear National Agency Check with Local Check (NACLC). All employees are subject to and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment. The ability to obtain/maintain access to the Blue Grass Army Depot is required. Must be physically fit and able to work safely at an operating plant. The purpose of the Senior Planner Scheduler is to perform construction schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and analysis of activities. Supports project organizational and administrative activities when delegated. Supervises planning/scheduling activities when delegated. Ensures work is completed as scheduled and identifies construction schedule-associated cost trends for management attention. Obtains required schedule information from all disciplines and functions. Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of project schedule needs. Responsible for total integration of schedule activities. Identifies restraints and their effect on the schedule. Identifies schedule considerations and challenges resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces. Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance. Conducts schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine the criticality of scheduled activities. Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to the project team for discussion and/or decision. Responsible for leading, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including the evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans.
