We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead cost, schedule and performance management across major communications infrastructure and systems projects. This is a senior-level role critical to strengthening governance, improving forecasting accuracy and enabling strategic decision-making at both project and executive level. You will be driven by data, drive commercial outcomes and be experienced in delivering certainty in complex environments. Reporting into senior project leadership, you will take ownership of integrated project controls across multiple concurrent projects. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with client expectations. This is more than a reporting role — you will shape governance frameworks, identify risks and opportunities early, and influence commercial and delivery strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar
  • 5+ years’ experience in project controls, planning, cost engineering or commercial roles
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
  • Experience with cost management systems and forecasting tools
  • Solid knowledge of contractual frameworks, variations and construction-commercial processes
  • Excellent analytical, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple concurrent projects

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within communications infrastructure projects is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Planning & Scheduling Leadership Develop and manage integrated project schedules across multiple projects Monitor progress, identify delays and drive corrective action Maintain high planning standards, structures and reporting formats
  • Cost Control & Forecasting Lead cost tracking, accruals, forecasting and cost-to-complete reviews Validate monthly forecasts and performance metrics Support variations, claims, change management and EOT processes
  • Reporting & Performance Deliver executive dashboards, KPIs and earned value reporting Ensure compliance with contractual reporting obligations Support monthly business performance reviews
  • Risk & Commercial Governance Facilitate risk and opportunity workshops Assess cost and schedule impacts of change Provide project controls input into procurement and subcontract management
  • Leadership & Continuous Improvement Mentor and develop project controls personnel Strengthen systems, tools and templates Drive process improvement and lessons learned initiatives Champion a safety culture
