About The Position

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead project financials with professionalism, flexibility, and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment. This role involves managing project quality, timeliness, and safety, mentoring the project team, and developing strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Electrical or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• Minimum seven years of construction management or related experience with large projects
• Proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for complex projects
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
• Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
• Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
• Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
• Current driver's license
• Travel

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, assist in pursuit presentations, and contract negotiations
• Manage design engineering projects from concept to completion
• Maintain schedule and budget through design completion
• Develop and maintain project financial budget and projections
• Report on progress, cost, schedule metrics, and any issues requiring support
• Track actual cost vs planned expenditures
• Identify potential risk and develop mitigation strategies
• Determine and allocate project estimate into financial system
• Manage subcontracts and suppliers, oversee budget and selections
• Function as main point of contact with clients and on-site representatives
• Provide frequent interactions to build positive relationships and future opportunities
