About The Position

This position manages the project controls support team for the design and construction of various projects in power generation and delivery nationwide. A successful candidate will bring project controls expertise to a fast-growing team of experts in power generation and delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
  • 10 years engineering and/or construction project control experience preferred
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting, preferred
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel required
  • Knowledge of computer operations and standard software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, Adobe) required
  • Familiar with interpreting construction drawings, specifications, contracts, estimating and take-offs, and as-built drawings
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast moving environment
  • Must be able to perform complex tasks and handle multiple priorities and have the ability to perform exceptionally under high stress conditions

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team that develops, updates, and maintains project schedules with project manager and team input in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
  • Perform reviews of baseline and periodic schedule updates for compliance with specifications and overall reasonableness
  • Perform cost analysis, spend tracking, and earned value reporting to monitor project costs and revenue and forecast final financial outcomes
  • Work with project management team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information
  • Support integration of Company systems to track, monitor and control costs, and monitor the job cost report against key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Perform additional assignments per management’s direction
  • Communicate effectively via phone and in writing with all parties involved in selected assignments including clients, project staff, subcontractors and owners
  • Ensure that assignments are executed with technical proficiency, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Make employee safety a priority both in-house and on-site, in accordance with corporate policy
  • Participate in Project Controls as both team leader and contributor
