About The Position

The TerraPower Isotopes® (TPI™) has been established to pursue medical isotopes development--advancing nuclear science for significant human health benefits. We seek to support revolutionary radiotherapies for treatments of various cancers through the supply of radioisotopes. TPI currently produces actinium-225 for the growing alpha therapy market and intends to expand. TerraPower Isotopes (TPI) is seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead to establish, own, and operate the project controls function across a portfolio of complex capital projects. This role will be responsible for building TPI’s project controls framework, including cost management and analyses, risk management, change control, schedule performance analyses, and performance reporting. The Project Controls Lead will be the primary internal authority on project health and will partner closely with TPI leadership, Project Managers, Engineering, Finance, and external delivery teams to ensure transparency, consistency, and decision-ready reporting. This position operates across all active TPI projects and programs and will work with the master scheduler to maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to integrate cost, risk, and performance metrics with the schedule to provide a holistic view of execution status.

Requirements

  • B.S degree in engineering, accounting, business, construction management, finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, or financial performance management on complex capital projects.
  • Demonstrated experience building or significantly scaling controls systems, processes, and reporting frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting, change management, and risk management in regulated or high-complexity environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-project portfolios with competing priorities and aggressive schedules.
  • Proficiency with project controls and reporting tools (e.g., cost management systems, dashboards, ERP interfaces, scheduling integrations).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear executive-level insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and surface risks early.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
  • The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly, and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.

  • Familiarity with life sciences, pharmaceutical, nuclear, or similarly regulated industries preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead the project controls function across all TPI projects, including development of standards, processing, tools, and reporting frameworks.
  • Own cost management activities including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and change control across the project portfolio.
  • Integrate schedule, cost, risk, and scope data into clear decision-focused reporting of overall project and portfolio health.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio-level performance metrics and dashboards, enabling consistent visibility into cost, schedule, risk, and execution trends.
  • Partner with Project Managers to support baseline development, performance measurement, forecasting accuracy, and corrective action planning.
  • Manage project change control processes, ensuring impacts to cost, schedule, and scope are clearly assessed, documented, and communicated.
  • Coordinate closely with the Master Scheduler to align cost and risk data with the Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Support executive and management reviews by preparing concise, accurate, and actionable project controls reporting.
  • Continuously improve project controls practices based on lessons learned, project phase needs, and organizational maturity.
