About The Position

The Project Controls Assistant at Tetra Tech will provide essential support to the project management team for various infrastructure projects in Florida. This role involves coordinating project setups, tracking schedules and budgets, and assisting with project documentation and reporting. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring in-office presence at least three times a week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Excel, Microsoft Project, and PowerBI.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Professional communication skills to interact with clients.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA preferred but not required.
  • Experience in the architectural, engineering, or similar project-related industry is preferred.
  • Internship experience is encouraged for recent graduates.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assist project managers in project setup and documentation.
  • Track project schedules and budgets in collaboration with project engineers and managers.
  • Assist in managing project costs and ensure proper representation in cost models.
  • Identify and prepare budget changes and potential contract amendments.
  • Perform risk management by identifying key performance indicators that may impact projects.
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals for construction projects.
  • Support project managers in developing client invoices and project status reports.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations for project updates to clients.
  • Facilitate the delivery of technical materials for proposals.
  • Produce drafts for project work plans and change order documentation for review by project managers.
  • Review the overall portfolio of projects and work with accounting to manage risks.
  • Coordinate project review logistics and document business development opportunities.
