About The Position

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Analyst in Piscataway, NJ. Job Details: Work with company financial systems and processes to provide cost data in formats necessary to control the project Develop proficiency in the use of company cornerstone systems With financial terminology and measures, recognize the financial impact of various project actions Assist in analyzing and using financial data to identify key project issues Utilize drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data Develop knowledge of accounting principles Assist in assembling data for trending and forecasting Prepare analysis of progress trends and cost impact Participate in reviewing and approving contractor invoices Collect and analyze data on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations Collect and analyze data for tracking actual cost to funding limitations Assist in tracking purchase orders and subcontract commitments and expenditures Assist with the creation of baseline budgets Support the project reporting process Participate in project cost review meetings Gather data for procedure development 50% domestic travel required to client sites in the New York City, Newark, Jersey City metropolitan area Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week within the New York City, Newark, Jersey City metropolitan area Full-time

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, Project Field Engineer, Controls Analyst, or related occupation.
  • Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 3 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, Project Field Engineer, Controls Analyst, or related occupation.
  • Position requires experience in the following:
  • Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word
  • Primavera P6
  • Project Management Information Systems, including Procore
  • Oracle JDE
  • InEight estimating software
  • Business Intelligence / Reporting / Dashboarding tools including Power BI / Tableau

Responsibilities
