This position is responsible for the financial management of programs that are in the pre-production (launch) phase at OP Modules Americas. The financial oversight responsibility is full scope including management of program profit/loss and cash flow statements, as well as, the associated accounting, tracking, reporting of capital expedntirues, prototypes, and tooling.

Requirements

  • B.S. Accounting/Finance degree
  • Minimum 5 years working within the automotive industry in either accounting or finance
  • Strong understanding of business case models and financial KPIs associated with program tracking
  • Understanding of financial statements -Income Statement, Balance sheet, cash flow statemetns
  • Understanding of accounting processes & procedures related to capital equipment and tooling
  • Strong communication, organizational, and excel skills are required.
  • Accounting experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred knowledge of manufacturing assembly and injection molding processes
  • Exposure to program management launch teams in the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Financial sytems exposure - SAP / HFM is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Reponsible for controlling all aspects of the launch program financials including - managing updates of the selling prices, material, labor, overhead costs, capital equipment and tooling spends. Responsibilty includes establishing the budgetary information and tracking actuals against the budget and providing the variance explanations to mgmt
  • Develop high level skillset and understanding of the PLC (Product Life Cycle) system that is used for tracking launch program financials. This position will also be responsible for training other end-users such as Program Managers
  • Prepare the present the required program financial information during the Gate Reviews
  • Active participation on cross-funcitonal program teams as the financial representative
  • Ensure financial information is updated in PLC (Product Life Cycle) program reporting system for all project-related cost and recovery tracking for the following categories: Prototype Builds, Prototype / Production Tooling, Capital Equipment,Capitalized Development hours, and all engineering / design related program activity. This includes understanding the gains/losses in each of these categories - Sales vs Cost.
  • Work wth plant controllers to review and approve project-related account balances prototype parts / tooling / CIP as part of their balance sheet account reconciliation process
  • Facilitate the collection of prototype build and tooling customer recoveries through the cash collection. This includes coordination of the all customer-required documentation in order to invoice and be paid by the customer
  • Review and approve,all project related purchase order requisitions and A/P invoices - prototype, tooling, captital equipment, engeinering development, tooling
  • Participate in advanced quotation activities with cross functional teams as required
  • Conduct Ad Hoc financial analysis as required by management
