About The Position

This role is a key financial leadership position supporting large-scale construction projects. You will oversee project accounting, forecasting, and risk management, ensuring financial accuracy while guiding project teams through complex financial processes. Acting as both a strategic advisor and hands-on leader, you will monitor budgets, evaluate change orders, and provide actionable insights to protect project profitability. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, team coaching, and communication skills to ensure all stakeholders are aligned. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of project accounting and financial reporting processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and the ability to learn construction management/payment software
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Leadership experience in supervising and coaching team members

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial management and reporting for one or multiple large-scale projects, including forecasts, risk analysis, and Work in Process (WIP) reporting
  • Train and support project teams on project accounting procedures and software tools
  • Supervise direct reports, manage workload, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures
  • Act as a financial advisor during project meetings, identifying risks and opportunities to maximize profitability
  • Evaluate change orders and project modifications for financial impact and consistency
  • Communicate project and departmental strategies effectively to direct reports and stakeholders
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment
