Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Control Engineer Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will perform a variety of project control assignments requiring the application of basic cost control techniques and analyses. You will assist in developing and implementing cost control support for multiple projects, provide cost report information to project managers, and review procurement requisitions for funding and cost coding. You will work with applications such as Costpoint, CER, TESS, and other project controls-specific tools to assist with these efforts. Additionally, you will manage sub-contractor requirements and invoicing cycles, and perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

  • Perform a variety of project control assignments requiring the application of basic cost control techniques and analyses.
  • Assist in developing and implementing cost control support for multiple projects.
  • Assist the project manager with specialized reports and provide cost report information.
  • Review procurement requisitions for funding and cost coding.
  • Work with applications such as Costpoint, CER, TESS, and other project controls-specific tools.
  • Support job budgets, updates of forecasts, and percent complete information for selected projects.
  • Manage sub-contractor requirements and invoicing cycles.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • 4-year degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Dedication to ensuring accurate accounting and cost forecasting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple items at once.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in dealing with various types of contracts (e.g., firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-award-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and time and material).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or related field (or equivalent experience).
