Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data to stakeholders.
  • 0-1 years in financial or project control related field.
  • Strong Excel skills to include VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and PivotTables.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Control Analyst in all duties related to financial and performance, planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Help with the aggregation, analyzation, and reporting on monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Review and communicate labor utilization across the organization.
  • Assist with activities for monthly, quarterly, and yearly close to ensure compliance with policies and deadlines.
  • Assist with analyzing budgets.
  • Monitor project actuals, identifies, communicates and resolves issues.
  • Provide assistance with accruals consistent with the month-end close deadlines and provides to Finance for entry.
  • Assist with monthly financial forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Analyze project reports to identify, resolve and communicate issues.
  • Initiate & monitor project setup (PSFs) within financial and project management systems.
  • Provide assistance with project closeout activities.
  • Proactively monitor project timecards to identify and correct errors prior to submission.
  • Ensure accuracy of project-related expense reports and ensure timely processing.
  • Ensure subcontract/vendor payments are processed in timely fashion.
  • Provide customer specific invoice backup, where needed.
  • Monitor billing and payment status of customer invoices.
  • Ensure incorrect charges are put on hold and subsequently corrected.
  • Perform unbilled and accrual calculations.
  • Assist Project Control Analyst and Project Manager with invoice collection.
  • Track contractual obligations and deliverables.
  • Review purchase request documentation for adherence and consistency.
  • Assist project team with initiating and receiving Purchase Orders.
  • Communicate timecard and expense practices for the project.
  • Provide assistance in reviewing and analyzing contract, subcontracts, and agreements to ensure project setup is accurate and meets internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Assist with pricing extensions and new bids when needed.
  • Provide data to help develop funding notifications (e.g., 75% letters).
  • Assist Project Control Analyst with variance analysis and help identify risks to schedule, cost, and performance baseline.
