About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Project Control Analyst who will be key support to our finance department and work all functions of cost and schedule management supporting multiple functional divisions and program managers. The selected candidate will work all functions of cost and schedule management supporting multiple functional divisions and program managers. Responsibilities include earned value management, contract status reporting, customer reporting (CPR, CCDR, CFSR), cost modeling, and metrics. The role involves all project control functions including planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting across the project life cycle. Projects may vary in size, complexity, and contract type (i.e. Cost Reimbursable, Firm Fixed Price, Time & Material, etc.). The analyst will interface with team members of the corporate staff including Operations Managers, Program Managers (PMs), Contracts, Purchasing, Billing, Accounting/Finance, and Human Resources. The position also includes participation in annual company budget development, preparation of monthly operational financials, coordination with PMs in the development of Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and various financial analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business or related field or 4 years direct experience as a project control analyst in the government contracting industry.
  • Government contracting experience in Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), and Cost Reimbursable type contracts.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of CostPoint.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and support multiple PMs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid US Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in Excel skills and database management (pivot tables, VLOOKUP formulas, and linked forms).
  • Secret Clearance, preferred.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and decision making to assist project management in all areas of project cost management.
  • Ability to work independently and make timely and sound decisions.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Recent Costpoint experience.
  • Understanding of Work In Progress (WIP).

Responsibilities

  • Work all functions of cost and schedule management supporting multiple functional divisions and program managers.
  • Responsible for earned value management, contract status reporting, customer reporting (CPR, CCDR, CFSR), cost modeling, and metrics.
  • Perform all project control functions including planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting across the project life cycle.
  • Interface with corporate staff including Operations Managers, Program Managers, Contracts, Purchasing, Billing, Accounting/Finance, and Human Resources.
  • Participate in annual company budget development by forecasting cost by financial period per project.
  • Prepare monthly Operational Financials for high level management meetings and financials for program review presentations.
  • Coordinate with PMs in the development of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for proposal pricing.
  • Review contract awards to ensure they match cost proposals/BOEs.
  • Assist in project setup, assigning workforce, and adding new employees.
  • Develop Estimates to Complete (ETCs) and Estimates at Completions (EACs).
  • Monitor cost and schedule performance and perform related analyses.
  • Produce financial deliverables for internal and external use.
  • Provide financial support including funding analysis, monthly expenditure analysis, cost variance analyses, and tracking current task spending.
  • Assist PMs with purchase requests and validate subcontract invoices.
  • Assist PMs with Risk Authorization Requests (RARs), Mod Requests, and Limitation of Funds Notifications (LOFs).
  • Analyze end of year Rate Adjustments and their effects on projects.
  • Participate in contract closeouts and de-obligations.
