About this role
What you will be responsible for?
The Project Construction Supervisor will foster and lead the safe execution of construction projects consisting of large civil, maintenance-oriented and multidisciplinary projects. While working under the mentorship of project engineers you will coordinate with various multi-functional groups across the site and contractors for safe, predictable, and within-budget execution.

Here is a snapshot of what your day-to-day will look like:
* We verify and maintain records for badging, onboarding, work permit issuance (excavation, confined space, hot work etc).
* Coordinate and provide recommendations to project staff on designs, contracts, scopes of work, budgets and schedules.
* We support permitting activities for growth, sustaining, environmental and closure projects.
* We supervise all construction work in progress to ensure that quality and engineering standards are met and that designs are effective through the entire process. Identify and communicate changes to designs, critical path or schedules as necessary.
* We facilitate and implement contractor alignment to all Newmont Standards.
* Facilitate use of Job Hazard Analysis and Fatal Risk Management for contract staff.
* We assist in the preparation of bid packages, change orders, and site instructions.
* Resolve project logistics, information, decisions, supply, and project timeline.
* Liaison between EOR (engineer of record), internal collaborators, and contractors as needed.
* Participate in monitoring and detailing the construction progress.
* We track material deliveries, and quantities and handle associated risks and chain of custody and handover.
* Field oversight of construction activities.
* Response and facilitate responses to Requests for Information and material submittals.
* We lead daily, weekly and other construction and safety-oriented meetings.
* Review pay requests with contractors.
* Review as-built construction documentation.
* Willingness to transfer to operational departments as needed.

* Minimum of five years' experience in construction and/or operation is required.
* Project management experience.
* Must be able to think strategically and implement tactically.
* Proven people management experience and the ability to work with internal and external partners and experience with continuous improvement programs and coordinated management systems.
* Strong leadership and management presentation skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions & Location
Where you will be located!
* The position is site based. Work hours may vary as required for specific projects.
* The Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Workers in this position are routinely exposed to conditions at various work sites throughout this range of elevations and must be physically capable of working at this altitude.
* Weather conditions can and do change frequently, and can become severe at times.
* Ability to complete work tasks while exposed to weather conditions / elevation.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
