UDR is seeking a Project Construction Manager A to manage construction projects and maintenance activities on multiple moderately complex multi-million dollar projects from conceptual design to completion. The primary responsibility for this role includes safety, quality, schedule, and cost. The manager will oversee a dedicated construction organization to ensure project and maintenance activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and at the appropriate quality level. Additionally, the position involves career development, motivation, performance review, and salary administration for professional and nonexempt employees. The manager will foster a "team concept" with various stakeholders, attend meetings, provide reports, status construction activities, and resolve complex problems. Additional duties include supporting scope of work development, work package development review and approval, schedule development and review, coaching and mentoring young professionals, and supporting a cultural change towards a commercial construction approach.
