About The Position

We are seeking a Lead Civil Engineer who will lead and coordinate the planning, design, and permitting of land development and infrastructure projects across diverse market sectors. This individual will play a pivotal role in mentoring staff, driving technical excellence, and fostering client relationships. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in civil design and land development.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Strong technical experience in stormwater design, site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion control.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and motivating teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with clients, colleagues, and regulatory agencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, higher education, distribution, K-12, commercial, office, retail, or mixed-use projects.
  • Familiarity with local, city, county, and state land use regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for site visits and client meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the planning, design, and permitting of land development and infrastructure projects.
  • Mentor staff and drive technical excellence within the team.
  • Foster and manage client relationships to generate new business.
  • Develop and manage projects from concept through construction documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local, city, county, and state land use regulations.
  • Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Perform technical and proposal writing as well as hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.
  • Prepare site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion control designs.
