About The Position

RSB Automotive Consulting is looking for a Project Buyer to join one of our international clients in the automotive sector. As a Project Buyer, you will be responsible for supplier selection, contract negotiations, and securing on-time deliveries of components during development and ramp-up phases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet quality, cost, timing, and risk objectives.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, ideally in the automotive industry
• Strong negotiation and organizational skills
• Experience working in international and cross-functional environments
• Good understanding of project/program development processes
• Fluent English (B2 minimum) is required, German is a plus

Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate with suppliers for components, services, tooling, and equipment
• Manage prototype development and tooling orders with suppliers
• Ensure suppliers meet project objectives in terms of quality, cost, and timing
• Support localization and sourcing strategies in alignment with global purchasing teams
• Drive cost optimization and propose innovative solutions with suppliers
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality, finance, and legal teams
