The Project Automation Specialist I provides local project support for MasterPlant™ or other enterprise project automation technology. This role involves offering intermediate-level end-user project support, project configuration, and special project modifications as required. The specialist collaborates with various teams to analyze technical implementation issues and provides routine office support for automation technology utilized in projects.

  • Provide local project support for MasterPlant™ or other enterprise project automation technology.
  • Offer intermediate-level end-user project support and project configuration.
  • Assist in special project modifications as required.
  • Collaborate with the Project Information Manager (PIM) to analyze technical implementation issues.
  • Work with a senior Project Automation Specialist to evaluate support and implementation requirements.
  • Provide routine end-user office support and project setup for automation technology.
  • Assist IT in evaluating technology impact on Fluor infrastructure and systems.
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study.
  • Seven (7) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years if non-degreed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences including management and clients.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious manner.
  • Accredited four (4) year degree in engineering or computer science preferred.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in project, Information Technology, or Automation.
  • Basic knowledge of Information Technology in desktop/laptop environments and general office tools.
  • Knowledge of Automation technology and systems integration.
