About The Position

Project AssociateAre you looking to begin a rewarding career in electrical project management?The Project Associate is phase 1 of 3 on the path to becoming a Project Manager with one of the largest electrical technology companies in the country.The Project Associate reports directly to the project leader. This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to build relationships both in and out of the office. The core responsibility as a Project Associate is to learn through on-the-job experience, peer-to-peer engagement, and technical training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or IBEW licensed electrician
  • Strong computer & Google Suite skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to developing time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience
  • Experience working in the construction industry
  • Familiar with computer-based estimating
  • Understanding of billing and collections

Responsibilities

  • Understand Miller Electric's service-based approach to the electrical project management process.
  • Begin building long term relationships with your clients and fellow employees by earning trust through diligent communication and high-quality work ethic.
  • Support the generation of estimates and proposals to support your team in winning new work, establishing procedures, and scheduling timelines.
  • Develop a strong electrical/material vocabulary and understanding of job site etiquette.
  • Work with your team to ensure the project is built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Collaborate with your field leaders to confirm client expectations and coordination with your subcontractors and other trades.
  • Assess construction progress, team needs, and issues through regular project visits with your field supervision.
  • Work with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
