About The Position

The Associate Project Administrator at Valmont plays a crucial role as the main coordinator between the company and its customers. This individual contributor position focuses on processing orders, managing requests for quotations, and ensuring accurate pricing while maintaining company margins. The role involves handling all quote and order-related issues, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an Associate's degree with 3+ years of experience or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Prior work experience in Order Management, Project Management, Customer Service, or related fields.
  • Ability to understand and analyze engineering details, project plans, and specifications.
  • High level of knowledge of Valmont's quote, order entry, and related software systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate between Valmont and customers for requests for quotations and order processing.
  • Compute accurate prices and maintain management-directed margins.
  • Negotiate price and delivery terms to secure orders.
  • Handle all quote and order-related issues for customers.
  • Verify orders received against quote and contract documents.
  • Establish and maintain customer master files for assigned accounts.
  • Minimize quotation and order turnaround time while maximizing accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Process orders and compare total purchase order terms to Valmont's terms and pricing policy.
  • Review contracts for product, price, and delivery details.
  • Use drafting systems to determine production part numbers for new orders and ship shortages.
