About the position

This is a part-time, entry level project assistant role who will work with program managers and product managers to reach goals of the Missionary Department member engagement team. Our efforts are aimed at shaping the vision and encouraging members to share the gospel by emulating Jesus Christ and loving, sharing, and inviting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate across multiple Church departments, divisions, and stakeholders to help achieve program goals.
  • Assist in ensuring approved projects, timelines, and deliverables within member missionary efforts are advancing.
  • Use project management software (currently Monday.com) to monitor and help move forward the execution of projects.
  • Complete required product/project documentation with assistance from managers.
  • Communicate status of efforts and deliverables to program and product managers until completed.
  • Support administrative needs of program management.
  • Address any issues that arise during execution or escalate them to management.
  • Work with program team members to help organize, contact stakeholders, and schedule key meetings and events.
  • Occasionally create mock-ups, draft articles, brief videos, and write proposed text for member facing materials.

Requirements

  • Completed two or more years of a bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Communication, Project Management or a related field or two years of equivalent combination of education, related work experience, or certifications (such as being close to or completing a project management professional (PMP) certification).
  • Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail.
  • Effective at prioritizing and simultaneously managing dozens of active assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, communicate well with others, and proactively follow up on agreed decisions.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent active listening skills and customer service focus.
  • Time management, proactive problem-solving with limited oversight, and organizational skills.
  • Customer service & results oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Returned missionary
  • Spanish or Portuguese speaker
  • Some previous work experience in customer service
  • Experience with business tools like Monday.com, SharePoint, Tableau
  • Experience using analytical reports and key performance indicators.
