About The Position

AECOM is seeking a creative and motivated Architect to join our Boston, MA team. This role offers diverse architectural experiences across the United States and internationally, with a focus on national defense-related programs. Our Boston office serves as the hub for supporting the US Army Corps of Engineers, the Government Missile Defense Agency, and other high-profile clients. In this position, you will contribute to shaping the world through innovative designs, ranging from radar and tactical support facilities to administrative, operational, and maintenance buildings, as well as large-scale campus projects. Collaborating with Program and Project Managers, you will ensure seamless project delivery while maintaining client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in architecture or related + 6 years of demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Due to the nature of this work, candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Registered Architect.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of work experience.
  • Past experience with DoD projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide architectural expertise, analysis, and recommendations within project schedules and budgets.
  • Manage teams of architects, designers, and specialists of varying sizes.
  • Develop creative and cohesive design solutions for complex challenges.
  • Contribute to all phases of project documentation, including construction documents, specifications, and administration.
  • Resolve technical and interdisciplinary issues within established budgets.
  • Mentor junior staff and work independently to achieve project goals.
  • Create detailed designs and edit specifications.
  • Adapt and refine design features under the guidance of Project Managers to meet specifications.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines during design and construction phases.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
