About The Position

Clohessy Harris & Kaiser, founded in 1987, focuses on providing for the design needs of substantial commercial and institutional clients with the goal of building long lasting business relationships. We seek a Project Architect / Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in the development of architectural solutions for small to large scale commercial and institutional projects. This full-time position requires a highly motivated individual who can work effectively as either a team leader or a team member in the development of design and documentation for both new construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with client interactions/coordination, working and communicating with consultants, managing projects from inception through construction completion and working both collaboratively and independently. The ideal candidate should possess strong design and planning skills, have a thorough understanding of construction documents, be knowledgeable of State of Connecticut Building Codes and have experience with the design of projects within existing buildings.

Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
  • Either registered or working toward registration in the State of Connecticut.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional architecture experience, including design, documentation and construction administration experience.
  • Working knowledge of state and local building codes and accessibility requirements.
  • Extensive skills in the use of AutoCAD is required, experience with Revit is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly professional demeanor.
  • Excellent graphic skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, including fluency in the English language.
  • Available for occasional travel for out-of-state projects.
  • Candidates must have U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S.
