As one of the nation’s most progressive design firms, Little is seeking an Architectural Designer/Project Architect with a passion for high quality design and a positive, collaborative work style, for our growing Store Design Studio in our Charlotte, NC office . Candidates we’ll love: You understand how to work with prototypical and site-adapted design elements in a creative fashion. You are a resourceful and creative problem solver understanding design and spatial relationships. You enjoy the fast-paced nature of retail and being involved in multiple projects simultaneously without losing sight of the details. You are a strong listener and a clear communicator who can effectively coordinate with consulting partners, engineers, developers, and brand managers. You understand the "moving parts" of retail. From shell-and-core coordination to the nuances of prototypes, test fits, fixture integration and engineering coordination. You have fun while you work. A position you’ll love: You’ll be working in our dedicated retail store design studio with other professionals dedicated to retail projects. You’ll have a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. You’ll have direct access to clients on a daily basis. You’ll work out of our Charlotte office with a designated work area in the Store Design Studio. The Charlotte office provides an in-office mentorship group and other cultural activities and engagements and access to private focus rooms, meetings rooms, kitchenettes and more. Ideal candidates will have the following Qualifications:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of experience in the architecture & design industry.
  • Experience in design and construction document development for execution of retail projects
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Revit proficiency required
  • Self-motivation and a desire to learn about all aspects of Architecture.

Nice To Haves

  • Architectural registration preferred but not required
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus
