About The Position

Madden’s is currently seeking a full-time seasonal Project and Equipment Operator for the 2026 season who will operate heavy equipment and specialty machinery to support property enhancements, material movement, and grounds safety while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience of related work.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Executes excavation, grading, drainage, hauling, and construction projects across golf courses and resort grounds as directed by the GCM Project Manager.
  • Operates heavy equipment including backhoe, skid steer, dump truck, boom truck, tractors, and related machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Assists in staging materials, equipment, and workflow to support efficient project execution.
  • Performs tree removal, pruning, limbing, storm cleanup, and firewood processing as directed, ensuring safe chainsaw operation and proper work-zone management.
  • Assists in identifying and addressing hazard trees or debris to maintain property safety and course playability.
  • Hauls and distributes sand, mulch, soil, rock, and other materials in support of landscape and infrastructure projects.
  • Assists with dock installation and removal in coordination with the Resort Grounds Assistant.
  • Perform asphalt repairs on roads, parking lots, and cart paths as directed.
  • Unloads freight and materials using heavy equipment and forks as required.
  • Conducts routine equipment inspections prior to operation and reports maintenance needs promptly.
  • Maintains clean, organized, and safe work areas during all project execution.
  • Supports golf course and resort crews during large-scale or seasonal workload demands.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in all job performance and remains aware of surrounding team members and operational areas.
  • Attends training and staff meetings and maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to support overall resort grounds operations.
