About The Position

MIRACORP, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Project Analyst to provide essential project and financial support to the U.S. Department of Energy in Idaho Falls. The Project Analyst will assist federal program and financial personnel by tracking project status, maintaining documentation, and supporting routine reporting activities. Location: U.S. Department of Energy, Idaho Falls, ID

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience OR Associate’s degree and 5 years OR 7 years of direct experience
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Knowledge of federal budgeting concepts
  • Proficiency in Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and present data clearly

Responsibilities

  • Project Tracking & Documentation Track project status, budgets, schedules, and deliverables
  • Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and program files
  • Prepare routine reports, presentations, and decision-support materials
  • Identify issues requiring management attention
  • Financial & Data Support Analyze project costs and financial data
  • Reconcile data across federal financial systems (e.g., STARS vs. PICS:NE)
  • Support DOE-ID and DOE-HQ financial personnel with routine tasks
  • Program Support Assist with university funding processes and program documentation
  • Support routine reporting and program oversight
  • Coordinate with DOE financial teams on standard deliverables
