About The Position

The Project Accountant is responsible for the accounting of all costs on the project to be developed. This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position. Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Construction Project Accounting
• Bachelor’s Degree in a major in Accounting
• Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (f/k/a Timberline) experience mandatory
• Strong math and communication skills
• Relentless attention to detail
• Excellent organization skills
• Must have Excel knowledge (as well as Word/Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Receive Accounts Payable Invoices and ensures proper coding and signature authority.
• Review all accounts payable invoice batches from AP clerk for accuracy.
• Work closely with AP Clerk to ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Compiles and reviews monthly Bank Draw with Senior Project Accountant to coincide with Title Draw.
• Review Share Point to ensure all draw documents have been uploaded.
• Ensure all contractor and sub tier lien releases are collected once payment is ready.
• Maintain the Notice to Owner Log.
• Ensure the timely preparation and review of bank reconciliations, maintaining strong internal controls and resolving discrepancies in accordance with company policies.
• Performs other duties as required.
