About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join our dynamic, project-driven environment. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with executive leadership, shape financial processes, and contribute to strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5-6 years of accounting experience, preferably in architecture or engineering services.
• Proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision is required.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Associate’s degree with additional experience considered).
• Familiarity with CAS compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage billing, accounts receivable/payable, ensuring timely processing of monthly invoices ($2M/month).
• Oversee project-level financial management, including monitoring project health and cost performance.
• Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance tracking, focusing on Direct Labor Ratio and Direct Labor Multiplier.
• Perform account reconciliations and support month-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports for leadership.
• Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing and payment issues.
• Support compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and maintain internal controls.
• Assist with Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision system operations for project accounting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including admin, IT, and operations as needed.
