About The Position

Looking to bring on a Project Accountant to join the accounting and finance team. A great opportunity for a financial professional who would enjoy being involved in the construction project life cycle, in a collaborative environment, while playing an important role between project management and finance. - Work with project teams in the financial workflow of a project from set-up and preparation of templates and cost codes, entry of Schedule of Values to budget entry and management. - Responsible for project billing process including supporting documents and compliance items. - Assist the project teams to produce timely and accurate reporting requirements. - Point person for recording and review of project revenue and costs. - Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management. - Prepare monthly cost to complete reports and report profitability to management. - Coding and routing commitments and vendor invoices for project management approval. - Electronic processing of subcontractor contracts and tracking required documents - Create monthly status reports, budget analysis and monthly closings. - Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
  • 3 years in financial environment
  • Proficient in MS Office and general software proficiency
  • Comfortability with a paperless environment
  • Energetic “people person” attitude
  • Detail oriented and understanding of accounting practices

Nice To Haves

  • Construction industry knowledge a plus
