This role plays a critical part in keeping our operations strong, accurate, and moving forward. Hourly Salary is $60,000-$70,000 DOE with annual reviews that reward excellent performance. Requirements

  • 4-year accounting degree or equivalent work experience
  • Requires 3-5 years construction/manufacturing accounting experience
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks throughout the day
  • Contribute positively to the team by being courteous, flexible, dependable, and professional.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of credit/collection laws, including mechanic’s lien laws
  • Excellent analytical and time management abilities
  • Detail oriented
  • Diplomacy
  • Understanding of AIA and AGC Construction contract documents

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Sage 300 CRE software; and document management software (ie. Ironclad, DocuSign, Laserfiche) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Contract management- Proactive management of contracts through life-cycle of projects. Including the following:
  • Administer and develop a contract review process that is efficient.
  • Responsible for all required reports and documents related to contracts (certified payroll, insurance documents, lien waivers, payment Bonds, etc).
  • Work with other departments to track required documents and ensure complete and accurate delivery to the customer for contract compliance.
  • Apply customer payments accurately.
  • Manage and develop the lien rights process associated with contracts.
  • Develop and execute a timely and accurate billing process including the resolution of discrepancies.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute change order process from initiation to billing.
  • Customer contract pre-qualifications.
  • Project close out documentation.
  • Assist with new project setup and ongoing project maintenance by entering subcontracts, changing orders, and other adjustments.
  • Scans and enters project, subcontractor, COI and other supporting documentation into systems as required.
  • Manage Sales and Use Tax reporting and filing as required in various states where the company does business.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending approved training.
  • All additional responsibilities /duties as directed by Controller.
