About The Position

Turner Industries Group is hiring a Project Accountant to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. The overall purpose of the Project Accountant position is to assist Project Management, Field Personnel and Accounting Management to ensure invoicing on each project is handled in an accurate, efficient, and professional manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Extensive technical skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
• Must pass post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit detailed and accurate invoices of reimbursable costs associated with maintenance and construction projects.
• Communicate and work closely with other departments, field personnel, and client representatives to compile invoicing information and resolve problems.
• Assist other Project Accountants when necessary.
• Prepare detailed and accurate month-end accruals when necessary.
• Research, report, and explain any billing transactions to Accounting Management.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisor.
