The Project Manager for Large Construction and Maintenance is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and directing all phases of medium to large-scale, high profile construction projects. This role involves coordinating with internal and external organizations and government agencies to ensure successful project delivery. The Project Manager assists with implementing the Construction Management Process (CMP) used throughout the company for large construction project delivery, managing project scope, cost, and schedule, and ensuring that labor and material resources are deployed efficiently for successful project outcomes.

  • Assists with developing, instituting, and improving cross-functional processes and procedures regarding project management, work management, and cost estimating.
  • Integrates corporate initiatives such as safety, environmental, and reliability improvement programs into the corporate CMP process for large electric construction projects.
  • Affirms project delivery of large scale construction projects and leads internal and external meetings.
  • Identifies, assesses, and implements corporate programs related to project management, cost estimation, planning, and scheduling.
  • Forecasts, documents, verifies, and reports all variances to management.
  • Compiles, charts, and reports weekly, monthly, and yearly on Project Management Performance Measures to management.
  • Works with management to define, coordinate, and manage project requirements.
  • Conducts project performance, cost, and scheduling studies that require advanced project management techniques.
  • May be required to work on special projects and other assigned duties.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Three to five years of related experience in construction and operations management and project management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Must possess a current, legally valid driver's license.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management, work management, and cost estimating principles.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to gain concessions without damaging relationships.
