About The Position
We are seeking a Progressive Care Trauma RN to join our team near Sarasota, FL. This position provides advanced nursing care to trauma step-down patients with complex medical and surgical needs. Nurses in this unit enjoy hands-on training, ICU cross-training opportunities, and career advancement in a supportive culture.
Requirements
- Current RN license (Florida or Compact).
- ADN/Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- BLS required; ACLS within 6 months.
- At least 1 year of RN experience (hospital, LTACH, rehab, or home health considered).
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to progressive trauma patients.
- Perform frequent assessments, administer medications, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Respond to changes in patient condition with strong critical thinking.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and allied health professionals.
- Participate in quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives.
