Progressive Care Registered Nurse

About The Position
These assignments support the hospital’s Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and involve caring for adult patients requiring close monitoring, ongoing assessment, medication administration, and coordination of care in a step-down or intermediate care setting. Candidates will be interviewed and submitted to the facility for review. Start dates are determined by the facility after candidate selection.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Missouri or compact state)
- Associate Degree in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience preferred
Nice To Haves
- PALS certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients
- Monitor patient status and administer medications/treatments
- Communicate changes in condition to the care team
- Document patient care accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
