Requirements

  • BSN or equivalent pathway; MSN preferred
  • RN license (NC or eNLC) and BLS
  • National certification within 1 year of hire (leadership or specialty)
  • Minimum 5 years recent nursing experience; 2+ years relevant hospital background
  • Demonstrated leadership in stepdown or progressive care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day operations, quality, safety, and patient experience for a 40-bed unit
  • Hire, mentor, evaluate, and advance clinical staff; foster engagement and retention
  • Plan staffing and budgets; meet productivity and throughput targets
  • Standardize evidence-based care and readiness for surveys and audits
  • Track, analyze, and act on unit KPIs and benchmarking data
