The Programs Information Representative at Child Development Resources is responsible for providing information and assistance regarding various child care programs to callers and walk-in customers. This role involves answering inquiries, assisting with applications, and maintaining a welcoming environment in the reception area. The representative will also log customer interactions and support the customer service desk as needed.

  • Provide callers and walk-in customers with general information about CDR and its programs.
  • Assist applicants with program eligibility requirements information.
  • Help walk-in customers with CDR program applications and document submission.
  • Refer customers to appropriate staff for further assistance.
  • Look up client information on CDR software systems as needed.
  • Maintain a log of walk-in customers and callers assisted by program.
  • Keep the lobby reception area and client interview rooms tidy and stocked with materials.
  • Distribute mail and documents to appropriate staff or clients.
  • Enter school calendars into CC3 for Ventura County school districts and private pre-schools.
  • Turn off interview room computers and lock rooms at the end of the workday.
  • Serve as backup for the customer service desk when full-time coverage is needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a clerical position with extensive public contact.
  • Fluent bilingual (English/Spanish) skills required.
  • Knowledge of Windows environment including Word and Excel.
  • General knowledge of standard office equipment, procedures, and filing.
  • Familiarity with community resources.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Sensitivity to multicultural, low-income, and disadvantaged families.
