About The Position
The Program Engineer at Southern Nuclear is responsible for directing the implementation of various engineering programs and work processes related to nuclear plant operations. This role focuses on maintaining equipment reliability, ensuring regulatory compliance, and applying industry best practices. The Program Engineer will also oversee inspections of plant equipment and may take on key assignments during refueling outages, including on-call duties and emergency response requirements.
