About The Position

As a Programs and Events Intern, you will work directly with our Programs and Partnerships staff who are responsible for implementing programs for the Girl Scout internal audience to enhance the Girl Scout experience, as well as partnering with outside organizations to coordinate large-scale events. This internship will be approximately 20-30 hours per week and is eligible for college credit, if applicable. Interns are paid minimum wage (currently $15 per hour worked).

Requirements

  • Interns must be enrolled in a graduate, bachelor's or associate's degree program and have completed at least one (1) semester of college.
  • Interns must be pursuing a degree relevant to the role.
  • Interns may or may not receive academic credit for the internship. If an intern seeks academic credit for the internship, it is up to the intern to establish this through their educational institution.
  • Internships are temporary assignments offered for up to a maximum of four (4) semester periods.
  • Intern work scheduled may vary depending upon course credit requirements, intern scheduling preferences, needs for time off, etc.
  • Interns may work up to twenty (20) hours per week during the school year and up to thirty (30) hours per week during the summer.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the delivery of programs, both in person as well as virtual.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers to help plan, organize, and execute Badge and Journey Programs.
  • Creating lesson plans using national curriculum outlines.
  • Facilitating program delivery to girls in grades K-12.
