TelevisaUnivision is seeking a detail-oriented Programming Coordinator to support Univision Noticias. This position involves monitoring the Network Playout and adjusting the playlist as needed for news updates, breaking news, and content issues. The Programming Coordinator will also schedule all content for the streaming news service, including programs, graphics, promos, news briefs, and crawls. The role requires developing fluency in using the scheduling software and executing workflows for a flawless on-air experience. Additionally, the coordinator will create, capture, and edit all content metadata in systems as needed, and will be available on call after hours and weekends to revise playlists, trigger breaking news, or support News team needs. Generating reports (AS-RUNS) after each shift and tracking scheduling, delivery, streaming, and other issues to identify and resolve problems is also part of the job. The coordinator will partner with Program Scheduling Coordinators, News Production, Art Department, Ad Sales, Marketing, and Content Management, and perform ad-hoc assignments as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Bi-Lingual - Fluent in English and Spanish (read and write).
  • Self-starter, resourceful, adaptable and able to work well under pressure and on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to be on-call after regular business hours and weekends, to support Univision Noticias Live.
  • Organized, reliable, detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
  • Comfortable learning and using program scheduling and playout systems both on-site and remotely.
