About The Position

The Co-Director of Programming shall be responsible for co-chairing the Programming Board to fulfill the organization’s mission as the primary social programming entity on campus, providing regular events and activities that cater to a variety of diverse interests.

Requirements

  • Prior experience with campus programming, including service on the Programming Board is required.

Responsibilities

  • Co-chair Programming Board and supervise the Programming Board programming team through the facilitation of meetings, support of team members, team development opportunities, and other related tasks.
  • Facilitate the hiring process of the Programming Board Executive Board.
  • Meet weekly with the other Co-Director and Assistant Director of Student Activities.
  • Recruit and select Programming Board general membership through an application and interview process.
  • Lead the Programming Board in the development of a robust programming calendar via a semesterly event submission and selection process with the Assistant Director of Student Activities.
  • Facilitate large-scale events including New Student Orientation, the Fall Block Party, and SpringFest
  • Maintain three weekly office hours in the Office of Student Activities.
  • Represent the Programming Board and its programmatic efforts to College and SGA bodies as requested.
  • Assist with Office of Student Activities initiatives including but not limited to training, Fall and Spring programming reports, Presence data review, financial reports, etc.
  • Facilitate the hiring and training processes for the following year’s Programming Board Co-Directors in conjunction with the Assistant Director and Director of Student Activities.
  • Facilitate the ongoing assessment of the Programming Board, to include feedback from the student body on programmatic efforts.
